Indefinite Military Detention Of US Citizens To Be Signed Into Law By Obama

We’ve been trying to keep you aware of what has been taking place with the talks concerning the 2013 version of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). We’ve covered the Feinstein amendment, which effectively did nothing, except to empower Congress to authorize the military at their whim to violate people’s 4th, 5th, and 6th Amendment rights. But now the talks are all done and the legislation is headed for Barack Obama’s desk to be signed into law soon, just as it was nearly one year ago today, including provision to use the military to indefinitely detain US citizens.

Previously, Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) voted for the Feinstein amendment to the NDAA. But then there came the hashing out of language in the bill and Paul blasted Senator John McCain (R-AZ) for stripping away the amendment.

“We had protection in this bill. We passed an amendment that specifically said if you were an American citizen or here legally in the country, you would get a trial by jury,” Paul said. “It’s been removed because they want the ability to hold American citizens without trial in our country. This is so fundamentally wrong and goes against everything we stand for as a country that it can’t go unnoticed.”

I don’t know this for a fact but it did come from my step-son that was in the military. American soldiers are not “allowed” to take any actions against the citizens. That is an Oath he said he took. I don’t know what it says now. There is a mess brewing. You would not believe the people that are purchasing guns – manufacturers, retailers, pawn shops cannot keep up – totally unbelieable. My husband is a hunter so we were at Cabela’s. There were little old ladies, young ladies, wives – anybody and everybody that could legally purchase guns did. It really reminds of the animal Kingdom – they understand that there is safety and protection in numbers. It probably won’t be much longer when 90 percent of the citizens are armed.Their was even a Priest in the group and he wasn’t preaching. Now, that doesn’t sound too healthy to me, but they (Congress and the president) brought it on themselves. And, I don’t think it would be wise to take on the American People just now, it would be kind of like us fighting a war with China – talk about out-numbered. I hope that Washington understands that they are walking on very thin ice. When the reductions in take-home way hit home because of increased taxes, then it will be even more of a chance that the Citizens will take action. One day, they are just going to overpower all in the White House – unless they get out of the way – and literally throw them to the curb.
