Why are extreme left-wing liberals, socialist, Marxists, progressives and other anti-liberty groups so set on removing God from all aspect of our public life? Many claim it’s because God is “offensive” or “unconstitutional” and therefore should be removed. I think there is something deeper here many of us are not exploring.
For the Socialists to obtain their dream of Utopia, and to create the society they desire, personal liberty and property must be abolished. ( Socialism is an economic system characterised by social ownership and control of the means of production and cooperative management of the economy, and a political philosophy advocating such a system. “Social ownership” may refer to any one of, or a combination of, the following: cooperative enterprises, common ownership, direct public ownership or autonomous state enterprises.)
Here is where their “God Problem” lies. The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America – The Declaration of Independence states:
When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
For them to create the “Utopia” of Socialism they must first remove our rights given to us by our Creator. Without removing those rights and God from all public and political discourse, socialism is not attainable because our founding documents say so, plain and simple.
John Adams spoke of a much different Utopia, one that was part of the great American experiment:

“Suppose a nation in some distant Region should take the Bible for their only law Book, and every member should regulate his conduct by the precepts there exhibited! Every member would be obliged in conscience, to temperance, frugality, and industry; to justice, kindness, and charity towards his fellow men; and to piety, love, and reverence toward Almighty God … What a Eutopia, what a Paradise would this region be.”

So, we can see that the current political culture is very different then what Adams had in mind. Actually is a complete 180 to what all the founders had in mind when founding our government.
“The general principles on which the fathers achieved independence were the general principles of Christianity. I will avow that I then believed, and now believe, that those general principles of Christianity are as eternal and immutable as the existence and attributes of God.”
–Adams wrote this on June 28, 1813, in a letter to Thomas Jefferson.
We need to realize the reason that we see the media and government trying to silence Christians in both politics and political culture is for the fight for their desire to see our country “fundamentally changed.” They want America rerouted from our principles of God-given liberty’s to one of a Government god.
We must understand this fully, and see that we are in the mist of a time which will be studied by future generations..a time which will mark one of two things:
Did we choose government as our God, or did we choose our Almighty Creator?
Which will you choose?

Men may as well build their houses upon the sand and expect to see them stand, when the rains fall, and the winds blow, and the flood come, as to found free institutions upon any other basis than that of morality and virtue, of which the Word of God is the only authoritative rule…
All societies of men must be governed in some way or other. The less they have of stringent State Government, the more they must have of individual self-government. The less they rely on public law or physical force, the more they must rely on private moral restraint.
Men, in a word, must necessarily be controlled either by a power within them, or a power without them; either by the word of God, or by the strong arm of man; either by the Bible or by the bayonet.
It may do for other countries, and other governments to talk about the State supporting religion. Here, under our own free institutions, it is Religion which must support the State.

The Key to understanding the principle of freedom is to understand our God given liberty. No government force, no violence, no stealing.. the governments sole responsibility is to protect our God given rights, not to remove them.
