No Christmas in Obama’s White House Holiday Card- See past Christmas Cards

The official White House holiday card makes no mention of the word ‘Christmas’ and instead focused on Bo the First Dog based on the wishes of the First Family.

“From our family to yours, may your holidays shine with the light of the season,” read the inside of the card, featuring the presidential seal.

Fun Fact: 1. Did you know that Christmas cards are an English innovation? The first Christmas card was commissioned by Henry Cole (civil servant with a great interest in art and design) in 1843. It was only printed in 1000 copies and very few are known to remain in existence today. They are very valuable today and one example was sold in December 2005 for £8,500 ($12,500).

Don’t be so “grinchy” may the light of the holiday shine in your heart. http://www.newstimes.com/politics/slideshow/A-very-White-House-Christmas-103.php#photo-1842610

I don’t see this as an issue – it’s a neutral card that shouldn’t really offend anyone or appease anyone. It’s a beautiful card that shows a contented member of the family and wishes the same for everyone. If you have issues with this card then you’re really digging deep.

For me, removing Christ from Christmas is a pretty big issue/
