South Korea buildings look a lot like 9/11 World Trade Attacks

South Korea is under fire by some Americas because of building, “The most offensive building ever.” The buildings to be constructed look a lot like The World Trade Centers in mid exposion from the terrorist attacks of 9/11.

Some groups claim it is a celebration of the terrorist attacks that killed 3,000 innocent Americans.

However, the builder has issued a apology. “MVRDV regrets deeply any connotations The Cloud projects evokes regarding 9/11. The Cloud was designed based on parameters such as sunlight, outside spaces, living quality for inhabitants and the city. It is one of many projects in which MVRDV experiments with a raised city level to reinvent the often solitary typology of the skyscraper. It was not our intention to create an image resembling the attacks nor did we see the resemblance during the design process. We sincerely apologize to anyone whose feelings we have hurt, it was not our intention.”

My first thought was that it was a memorial to the people who were killed. To remind us of the devistation on that day.

I my see life through rose colored glasses, but this seemed to depict the horror of the day.
