A letter from Jay Sekulow ACLJ Chief Counsel:

Here are the facts: At least one U.S. federal agent is dead, hundreds of people have been murdered in Mexico, and hundreds of guns have been provided to Mexican drug cartels by our federal government as a result of Operation Fast & Furious, yet no one has been held accountable.

Petition for Truth

Yesterday, Attorney General Eric Holder admitted to Congress that “Guns lost during this operation will continue to show up at crime scenes on both sides of the border . . . for years to come.

Attorney General Holder testified that the tactics used in Fast & Furious are “inexcusable,” but continued to excuse himself and everyone in the Obama Justice Department from any blame or responsibility. The American people deserve the truth, and those responsible for this ill-conceived program must be held accountable.

Join the ACLJ in calling for truth and accountability from the Obama Administration and Attorney General Holder by signing the Petition for the Truth about Operation Fast & Furious.

It is up to President Obama to ensure that his Administration, Attorney General Holder, and the Justice Department cooperate with Congress to get to the bottom of this situation.

Who is responsible for allowing guns to literally “walk” into the hands of drug cartels?

This is the precise question being asked by Members of Congress tasked with investigating this Justice Department fiasco.

Attorney General Eric Holder, once again, failed to provide any real answers to Congress on how this program that led to the murder of a border patrol agent was allowed to proceed. Take action by calling for the truth.

What is more, the Obama Justice Department continues to conceal and obstruct the truth.

Ten months ago, top Justice Department officials wrote Members of Congress that the Justice Department would never intentionally allow guns to “walk” into the hands of drug cartels. Now, Obama’s Justice Department has withdrawn that letter because it contains false statements.

Yet, Attorney General Holder refuses to explain how these blatant falsehoods were allowed to go uncorrected for ten months.

As Congressional scrutiny intensifies, there’s a new push in the House to hold the Attorney General accountable. A resolution is expected to be introduced calling for a “no confidence” vote on the Attorney General – a measure that, according to reports, includes language arguing that the Attorney General is not “competent, trustworthy and beyond reproach” and that he has sought to “cover up” mistakes.

More than 30,000 Americans have already cast their “no confidence” vote regarding Attorney General Holder by signing on to our Petition for the Truth about Operation Fast & Furious. If you haven’t added your name yet, this is the time to do it.

It is up to President Obama to ensure that his Justice Department and his top law enforcement official – Attorney General Holder – fully cooperate with Congress, immediately turn over critical information, and hold those responsible for this utter failure of justice accountable.

Sign the Petition for the Truth about Operation Fast & Furious today.

Thank you for continuing to stand with the ACLJ as we fight for justice and call for accountability from our nation’s leaders.
